Media Autobiography

• Books I have not always loved. I never liked to read until I got to high school when I read a book that changed my perspective on how I thought about life. Ever since I read my first actual book I have been hooked, and love to read every second I can. Newspapers I do not really read much but maybe once or twice a year when I have nothing else to do. When I was younger I used to sit next to my great grandmother as she would read the newspaper every morning. Magazines I rarely read unless I am waiting somewhere where there are magazines present, and I did not bring a book along with me. I do not watch much movies now days but I did use to watch movies when I was younger all the time over and over. Movies I feel are somewhat a waste of my time unless it is a good movie and has a great theme to it. Recordings I do listen to a lot when I do not have a book on me and have nothing else to do, then I will listen to the music that is on my ipod. When I was younger I never listened to recordings, they just were not that important. The radio I used to listen to all the time when I was younger. The radio was something my family would play throughout the day but as I am now older the only time I listen to the radio is when I get ready for school. I do not watch Television all the much anymore like I did when I was younger. When I was younger I would watch television only in the mornings or at night time but that was it. I used to watch cartoons when I was younger, but now when I do watch television it is the news for a few seconds or a show every once in a while. The internet I never used as I was younger. In elementary school we got our first computer but the internet was still odd to me so I never used it. Now that I am older and going to school the internet is a necessity. I do not use it much for anything else unless I need to look something up, or do homework on it.
• I have not had a job with the media, and I would not like to have a job in the media as well.
• I have not lived in another country before.
• My major is Psychology. In a way it can be related to the Media because the media has a great impact on how people are and what they do. The University I will be transferring to in the Fall of 2013 is the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities.
